You can sign up for a hamper by following the website link to our Google form. Sign up opens on the 20th day of the month before and closes when it fills. For example: if you would like to sign up for March, sign up would open February 20th.
Sign-ups for deliveries operate on a monthly basis. We have a capacity of 80 households we can support each month. We are only able to provide hampers to folks whose postal codes start with: V8X, V8N, V8P, V8R, V8T, V8W, V8S, V8V and V9A. We do not have the ability to deliver to Sooke or the West Shore.

Fairfield Gonzales Community Association

Registered individuals and families can 'shop' rescued food for free including fresh fruits and vegetables, dairy, frozen healthy food, dry food, and more, while supplies last. Food offered varies each week. Delivery can be offered to Fairfield-Gonzales neighbourhood residents who have limited mobility.
We prioritize people who self-identify as food-insecure. If you live, work, and/or access programs in Fairfield-Gonzales, and experience barriers to healthy and/or culturally-appropriate food, you are eligible. If you are eligible, email event@fairfieldcommunity.ca or call 250-382-4604 to register.

Food Bank at St. John's

The Food Bank offers guests a selection of produce, bread, and usually some protein items. Guests may choose from a menu of staple foods and hygienic items, or a pre-made hamper of items that is ready to take home. Guests without kitchen access may choose a pre-made hamper of ready-to-eat items.

Goldstream Food Bank

First three Tuesdays and Wednesdays of each month, 9am to 12pm
We provide supplemental food hampers containing enough food for 5-7 days (maximum one hamper per month) for Westshore residents in the following municipalities only: Langford, Colwood, View Royal, Metchosin, East Sooke, and Highlands (ID required). The last customer will be served at 11:45am to allow for the hampers to be given out by 12pm.

North Park Neighbourhood Association

The North Park Neighbourhood Association (NPNA) puts together free, weekly grocery hampers for registered recipients. The hampers are made up of produce, bread, dairy, and non-perishable items. To be eligible for a hamper, recipients must live, work, or spend time in the North Park neighbourhood. To register, please complete the sign-up form on the NPNA website.
Delivery is available to those with mobility challenges or scheduling conflicts. If you have any questions, please contact Ruby, the Grocery Hamper Program Coordinator, at ruby@npna.ca.

The Saanich Peninsula Lions Food Bank "helps those in need through those who care." We do that in a variety of ways but primarily by providing food hampers designated to supplement a client's food needs.

Songhees First Nation provides weekly food boxes weekly and monthly to families within the Songhees community. The Nation also provides Elders' lunches and Tea & Bannock events at their Wellness Centre, strengthening community ties.

The Mustard Seed operates the largest food bank on Vancouver Island, situated in Victoria’s downtown core. We provide fresh vegetables, dairy, non-perishable food items, and hygiene products. We serve 1250+ hampers per month. It is our mission to ensure that anyone in need of food can access the groceries they need without feeling shame, guilt, or fear.

The Hamper Program was developed at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic to provide food security supports to community members.
The Hamper Program:
– Provides 220 hampers on a weekly basis to families, those sheltering in hotels, individuals, and tenants residing at Siem Lelum and Fernwood house.
– Provides fresh produce, Cobbs bread, Farm and Field meat, Zambris pasta sauce, and non-perishable food items.
– Provides nutritious food and snacks.
– Allows for community to continue being connected to the Victoria Native Friendship Centre through food.
